“Women's difficulties in business life begin during the job search process”

Gizem Yasa, the co-founder of 24 Hours of Business, stated that they realized that the difficulties faced by women started during the job search process and said:

“When we first established 24-Hour Jobs, we realized that women's job search is an unspoken fact. The difficulties faced by women looking for a job in the service sector began even during the job search process. Faced with harassment from posting men, women could not rely on any platform to find work. That's why we constantly created new solutions by using the muscle of technology to make 24 Hours Work a platform where women can easily search for a job. In this way, while 30 percent of women who are able to participate in employment in Turkey are in the workforce, this figure has increased to 24 percent in 45 Hours of Work. In this way, 24 thousand women got jobs through 240 Hour Jobs, and 23 thousand of them found their first jobs thanks to 24 Hour Jobs. Despite the growing scale, we have always prioritized the male-female balance and the element of trust in practice.”

'Sleep mode' feature enabled

Also talking about the special applications created by 24 Hours Job for female job seekers, Yasa said:

“As 24 Hours Job, we have activated the 'sleep mode' feature to prevent harassment that women are exposed to during their job search. Thanks to this mode, women who are looking for a job through the application can activate the 'sleep mode' feature, if they wish, and choose not to receive any messages from the employer between 21.00 in the evening and 08.00 in the morning. They can view sent messages outside of these hours. In addition, thanks to the algorithm we created using artificial intelligence, many data about companies coming to the system are analyzed by the system. The company, which is determined to be a problem, is immediately removed from the system. When employers send offensive messages to women, it is automatically detected by the artificial intelligence system. This employer is immediately removed from the system. In this way, it is aimed to prevent potential problems for female candidates without encountering an uncomfortable situation. I have always been personally involved in the processes and continue to do so, without rejecting the request of anyone who trusts 24 Hours Jobs to find a job. As 24-Hour Jobs, we will continue to enable women to search for jobs with confidence. We believe that as women get their rights in business life and working conditions improve, the proportion of women in the workforce will gradually increase.”
