Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is renewing its vehicle fleet in order to both reduce the density due to the increasing population and increase comfort in public transportation. While the delivery process of the new buses purchased by the EGO General Directorate continues, the number of new vehicles reached 51 with 15 midibuses and 198 solo buses that arrived last. By the end of June, 154 new buses will join the fleet.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which aims to provide faster and more comfortable public transportation opportunities to Ankara residents by starting a mobilization in public transportation, continues to renew its vehicle fleet.

Bringing the purchased modern buses together with the citizens of the Capital, EGO General Directorate added 15 new solo buses to its fleet. With the vehicles put into service, including the 51 midibuses that came before, the number of buses delivered recently increased to 198.

EGO General Directorate, which took action to encourage the citizens of the Capital City to use public transportation due to the increasing population density and to provide comfortable travel, purchased modern buses equipped with technological innovations instead of vehicles that have completed their economic life.

On the one hand, the Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its infrastructure investments from smart intersection applications to the construction of new bridges and roads in order to eliminate transportation in the Başkent, is increasing the number of public transportation vehicles that it has decided to renew with each passing day.

EGO General Directorate, which previously received 3 more electric buses, will include 154 new municipal buses (115 articulated Mercedes and 39 solo Mercedes brand buses) to its vehicle fleet by the end of June. With the buses to be delivered gradually, a total of 355 new buses will be brought together with the citizens of the Capital.
