The pilots of SOLOTÜRK, the demonstration team of the Turkish Air Force, came together with the youth at the "Government Incentives Promotion Days" organized for the youth in Konya by the Presidency of Communications.
The "Government Incentives Promotion Days", the first of which was held in Ankara on 9-12 December in order to bring young people together with public institutions, was organized in 12 provinces with the slogan "Your Future is Here, The State Is With You".
In the third leg of the event, which was held in Gaziantep after Ankara, at the TÜYAP Fair Center in Konya, the SOLOTÜRK team met with the youth in an interview.
The experienced pilots of SOLOTÜRK, Major Emre Mert and Major Murat Bakıcı, gave information to the young people about the planes they used and the shows they performed at home and abroad. Major Emre Mert said that the SOLOTÜRK team was established in 2011 and that he was honored and pleased to be included in the team. Emphasizing that they are trying to successfully represent the might of the Turkish nation and the Turkish Armed Forces, Mert said:
“We are not just SOLOTÜRK demonstration pilots. We are fighter pilots with our Murat Major. So we are operational fighter. We have participated in all the operations you see on the screens, all operations such as Al-Bab and Olive Branch, and we still continue to be fighter pilots. We only wear our black overalls during talk time, show time, but apart from that, our warrior identity is always at the forefront. Normally, we cannot hurt an ant outside, in our civilian life, but when we go to an operation, we will destroy anyone who will harm your hair, bury them with a one-ton bomb.”
Major Murat Bakıcı also stated that he fully believes that the young people who listen to them will carry the country, the Turkish Armed Forces and the Turkish Air Force even further and said, “We are proud to represent you and to show the power and might of the Turkish nation in all organizations at home and abroad. Our names will come and go, our names will disappear, but it will be the Turkish Armed Forces, Turkish Air Force and SOLOTÜRK that will not be forgotten.” used the phrases.
