Head of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir answered Hakan Çelik's questions in the CNN Türk broadcast and explained the developments in the Turkish defense industry. Demir announced that 50 to 110 S/UAVs can be deployed to the Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship ANADOLU, depending on the configuration. At the same time, it was previously announced that ANADOLU could control 10 of the SİHAs it carries.

According to the Turkish Defense Industry 2022 Targets announced by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), Bayraktar TB3 SİHA, which is under development by Baykar Technology and can take off from ships with short runways, will make its first flight in 2022. Bayraktar TB2021, the technical features of which were announced at TEKNOFEST 3, will have a higher payload capacity (2 kg versus 150 kg) and foldable wings to save space during transportation, in addition to its ability to take off from short runways compared to Bayraktar TB280.

Within the scope of creating an air force for ANADOLU, which will be the largest ship of the Turkish Navy in terms of tonnage and size when finished, a version of the ATAK-2 project for naval platforms is also being worked on, but until the project is completed, it will be transferred from the Land Forces to the Naval Forces. 10 transferred AH-1W attack helicopters are expected to be deployed on board.
