While the increase in many items in a row burned the pockets of the citizens, the news of a raise came from Ankara. In the capital Ankara, bread went from 2 liras to 25 cents and 2 liras to 75 cents.
Ankara Chamber of Bakers had renewed its request for a raise in February. In line with this demand, 200 cents increase was made for 50 grams of bread.
With the new decision taken, the price of 200 grams of bread in Ankara increased from 2 liras 25 cents to 2 liras 75 cents.
The increased price will be effective from March 15.
PRICE HAS NOT CHANGED AT HALK EKMEK
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality did not increase the price of Halk Ekmek. 250 grams of bread will continue to be sold for 2 liras at Halk Ekmek.
