Women Commanders Promote KADES in Villages by Crossing Snowy Roads

Despite the adverse weather conditions, female non-commissioned officers at the Bitlis Provincial Gendarmerie Command informed 73 thousand men and women in the 7 villages they visited, and downloaded the KADES application to the phones of 1600 women.

Female non-commissioned officers working under the Bitlis Provincial Gendarmerie Command introduce the Women's Support Application (KADES) to the women in the villages they go to by crossing the snowy roads.

Continuing their work to prevent violence against women, female commanders go to the most remote villages, despite adverse weather conditions, as well as the city center for this purpose.

The commanders, who inform women about the KADES program, developed in rural areas for those who have suffered or may be exposed to domestic violence to easily reach the security forces, also organize trainings on the correct use of the application by downloading it to their phones.

Fadime Esen Polat, Head of the Fight Against Domestic Violence and Child Division of the Bitlis Provincial Gendarmerie Command, went to Dereyolu village of Mutki district for these studies with the female non-commissioned officers accompanying her.

Female non-commissioned officers who went from house to house in the village distributed brochures to women and gave information on how to use the KADES program they downloaded to their phones.

The commanders, who also met with the women at the condolence house, conveyed that women who face emergencies such as persistent pursuit or harassment can reach the security forces with one click, thanks to the application, and made them feel safe.

Commanders informed 73 thousand men and women in 7 villages they visited, and downloaded the KADES application to the phones of 1600 women.

We Didn't Know This App Before

Seyhan Kılıç, one of the women who was informed about KADES, said that she did not know about KADES until now.

Explaining that they became more conscious thanks to the information given by the commanders, Kılıç said, "The commanders came to the village for us. We also know the KADES application now. Thank you very much to our commanders. They taught us the application. I did not know about the application until today and I have never used it. We downloaded the application to our phone. "We feel safer now," he said.
