Continuing its operations according to international railway transportation standards, TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ carries out the maintenance and revision of the freight and passenger transportation and the vehicles it carries out these activities in accordance with these standards. One of these standards, the Maintenance Organization “ECM” certificate, was renewed as of January 2017, 1, after it was signed for the first time in 2022, and preserved its place as one of the smart transportation systems policies followed by TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ.
ECM: The Foundation of Reliable and Sustainable Transport
TCDD Tasimacilik, as a company with an ECM Responsible for Maintenance, is responsible for maintaining and having the vehicles of which it is an ECM, with the maintenance file it prepares in accordance with UTP/TSI conditions. The maintenance of railway vehicles in accordance with this constitutes the basis of reliable and sustainable transportation.
The "ECM" certificate of the Institution Responsible for Maintenance comes to the fore in the railway sector as a must-have document during the maintenance and revision phase of railway vehicles, which are within the scope of TCDD Transportation. Maintenance Organization “ECM” that ensures that railway vehicles can be operated safely in accordance with a maintenance system; It consists of 4 main functions with management, maintenance development, fleet maintenance management and maintenance supply functions.
Depending on the protocol in the Convention on International Rail Transport (COTİF) and in accordance with the General Directorate of Railway Regulation (DDGM) Registry Regulation, TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, on 1 January 2017, granted the first Maintenance Agency “ECM” certificate; has obtained the "Maintenance Agency" for freight wagons and the "Maintenance Unit" for other railway vehicles, valid until 31 December 2021. Due to the expiration of the certificate and with the unification of all railway vehicles in a single certificate in the document titled ATMF ANNEX A, our Company's Maintenance Agency "ECM" certificate was renewed by the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation on January 01, 2022 to cover the maintenance functions of all railway vehicles.
