Silivri Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (SIAD) members met with Istanbul Energy and consulted on what kind of savings they could make on high bills. Pointing out 'Solar Energy' to the industrialists, Istanbul Energy signed a mutual cooperation protocol with SİAD.
Rising energy prices in the recent period have left the industrialists in distress. Electricity prices, which increased by over one hundred percent, led industrialists to new savings tools. In this context, Istanbul Energy, a subsidiary company of IMM, came together with the Silivri Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (SIAD) members and held an 'Energy Workshop' at the Seymen Biomass Energy Production Facility. In the event, where 60 industrial companies were hosted, Istanbul Energy AŞ General Manager Yüksel Yalçın and Silivri SİAD President Hakan Kocabaş signed a cooperation protocol on energy investments and energy efficiency consultancy. With the protocol, Istanbul Energy became a member of the association and an energy desk was established within Silivri SİAD. Istanbul Energy's expert engineer staff answered questions on energy issues during bilateral meetings with industrialists from Silivri. Yıldız Technical University City and Regional Planning Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Özbakır made her presentation on “Energy Efficient Planning and Climate Change”.
