Capital Organized a Special Science Festival for Children

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality celebrated "8-14 March Science Week" with children. Department of Women and Family Services, Bilkent University, TOBB ETÜ, Ostim Technical University, National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM), Robotic Coding Academy, Arslan-Ergül Lab organized a "Science Festival" in cooperation. Children aged 7-14 met the fun world of science by doing various experiments.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality organized a special science festival for children in the capital city due to the "8-14 March Science Week".

ABB Women and Family Services Department brought together children aged 7-14, who are members of Children's Clubs, in the Necip Fazıl Foyer Area of ​​Youth Park Cultural Center.

CHILDREN DISCOVER THE ENJOYABLE WORLD OF SCIENCE

Children participating in the “Science Festival” organized in cooperation with Bilkent University, TOBB ETÜ, Ostim Technical University, National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM), Robotic Coding Academy and Arslan-Ergül Lab; had the opportunity to explore the fun world of science at the stands where robotic coding, virtual reality glasses, volcano eruption and DNA experiments were explained.

Giving information about the event, Child Services Branch Coordinator Tuğba Nagehan Turpçu said, “We organized a "Science Festival" event due to the 8-14 March Science Week. We cooperated with TOBB, Bilkent and Ostim Technical University. Our children aged 7-14, coming from the children's clubs, learned the joyful aspects of science and technology at the stands established.”

The children, who also performed various experiments at the Science Festival, shared their thoughts with the following words:

Omer Asaf Atak: “I am 12 years old, I think this place is very valuable. I want to be a veterinarian, but I love science.”

Cemre Su Lighter: “I am 11 years old, I visited robots, volcano experiment, DNA tests here. I saw IT (Information Technology) and science.”

Gulcin Asdogdu: “I did a lot of experiments. DNA testing, like a volcanic eruption. I loved this place.”

Emir Kaan Toraman: “Here I saw the virtual reality glasses, the DNA bracelet, the volcano eruption moment. I learned coding programs with Legos. I liked the virtual reality glasses and DNA bracelet the most. I enjoyed it very much.”

Azra Su Kırca: “This place is so fun, I like it a lot.”

Berra Karan: “Here, I liked the space glasses the most and had a lot of fun. I love science, thank you.”
