ASPİLSAN Energy is 41 Years Old

ASPİLSAN Energy has been working for 1981 years with the aim of providing solutions that will reduce the foreign dependency of our country in the field of energy systems, since 41, when it was founded with donations made by charitable citizens and organizations from Kayseri in order to meet the battery, battery and accumulator needs of the Turkish Armed Forces.

Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN Energy, which celebrated its 41st anniversary in its new factory, which is the first cylindrical battery facility of Turkey and Europe, said: We aim to offer In line with this goal, as ASPİLSAN Energy, we will have made a domestic and national breakthrough in the field of energy storage, the majority of which is composed of foreign companies, together with our Cylindrical Lithium Ion Battery Production Facility.

Few Days Left for Lithium-Ion Battery Plant to Start Mass Production

We aim to produce 2022 million battery cells per year at our new facility, which will start mass production in May 21. Thus, by producing Lithium-Ion batteries in our country, we will significantly increase the localization rate of battery and battery manufacturers. Our aim has never been firm-based growth and development. Our priority is to create a domestic ecosystem by supporting companies working in our country in areas related to us. In our Lithium-Ion Battery Production Facility, not only will batteries be produced, but we will also have the capabilities to develop unique batteries.

As ASPİLSAN Energy, besides meeting Turkey's battery and battery needs, I can say that we have become one of the world's leading brands in our field by producing the batteries of aircraft, ships, unmanned aerial vehicles and rail systems with more than 300 batteries, thanks to the strategic investments and national power.

We Played an Important Role in Sectors Except for the Defense Industry

In our four R&D centers, namely Kayseri, Istanbul, Ankara and Edirne, we carry out studies on energy storage for the needs of all sectors, especially the defense industry.

This year, we started to give our first products for different naval platforms. In addition, we decided to produce batteries for household appliances together with Arçelik, and we took another step into a new market. Again, we started to supply our products to two different sectors with our telecommunication batteries and e-mobility batteries. Thanks to the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification, we also entered the civil aviation market.

Especially the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation provided great support for ASPİLSAN Energy's growth. In this growth, especially ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, Roketsan and HAVELSAN also made valuable contributions.

As ASPİLSAN Energy, I would like to state that we will continue our work without slowing down, as we have done for 41 years, in order to ensure that our country can achieve its technology and renewable energy targets.”

“Turkey will be able to create added value if it is a pioneer in this sense and moves forward”

After the presentations, the protocol speeches started. Making his speech, Enerjisa Production CEO İhsan Erbil Bayçöl said that he was happy to host and thanked the participating organizations. Bayçöl stated that Turkey has an important potential regarding hydrogen and that Turkey should be a pioneer in this regard by acting quickly. Bayçöl said that the process after the signing of the protocol is very valuable and stated that Enerjisa Üretim would like to take part in the topics that are tried to be addressed in this protocol with all its strength. Turkey can create added value when it is a pioneer in this sense and takes concrete steps; the faster the road can be taken, the more successful it will be; that these journeys are difficult individually; He concluded his speech by stating that only a point can be reached with the union of forces, and that Enerjisa Üretim wants to take part in this project voluntarily with all its resources and heart.
