Tokat New Airport with 2 Million Passenger Capacity Opens Tomorrow

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that Tokat New Airport, with an annual capacity of 2 million passengers and an area of 16 thousand 200 square meters, will be opened tomorrow with the presence of President Erdogan, and said, “There is no doubt that Tokat New Airport will make a great contribution to the development of the city and carry the development mobilization further. . We have also completed the construction works on the connection roads of the New Airport. We are opening our Tokat Airport Junction and Connection Road, as well as our other highway investments, tomorrow.”

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, made inspections at Tokat New Airport before the opening. Making a statement after the examination, Karaismailoğlu said that as AK Party governments, they never stopped producing and developing.

WE ACT WITH STRATEGIC STATE MIND INSTEAD OF SHALLOW DAILY DISCUSSIONS

Karaismailoğlu said, “In this way, for 20 years, we have been implementing projects that meet the needs of our nation and make life easier in every part of our country without exception,” and continued his speech as follows:

“For Turkey's future, we act with a strategic state mind instead of shallow daily discussions. Instead of empty words like someone else, we focus on our people to produce service. Every job we do, every project; to increase the comfort, comfort and quality of life of our nation, to provide new employment opportunities and for the holistic development of our country from village to city. Thanks to the projects that touched our people, we contributed to the development of the economy, trade and health services, while increasing the tourism, industry and production, the development of socialization, the quality of education and the quality of life of our nation. The giant works that we have brought to our nation, not to do, to those who cannot even imagine; We watch with exemplary and amazement those who attack to discredit our great work. These attacks do not go beyond the repetition of a behavior that we encounter very often: Opposition is never an act of hostility towards investing in one's country, nation and state. Of course, an opposition party or leader may think that an investment to be made is not suitable for the country, and may suggest something better. In doing so, it is expected to be based on reason, intelligence and conscience. Because; Only then does the word gain meaning. Otherwise, unfortunately, it is inevitable that they will be perceived as enemies of investment for their nation, country and state, just like the situation they are in today. May our nation rest in peace; We will neither stop serving our nation nor fighting against customers.”

WE ADD A NEW ONE TO THE CHAIN OF SERVICES AND WORKS

Stating that they are on the eve of bringing Tokat Airport into service after the 18 Çanakkale Bridge and Malkara-Çanakkale Highway opened on March 1915, the anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory, the Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, said that they are on the eve of the giant chain of services and works that came to life with the AK Party government. noted that they added a new one in Tokat.

Underlining that they will bring Tokat New Airport to Turkey with the presence of President Erdogan tomorrow, Karaismailoğlu drew attention to the fact that there has been a remarkable axis shift in air transportation activities in recent years. Karaismailoğlu said, “We see that air transport activities are rapidly shifting from west to east depending on global population movements and trade balances. Our country, with its key geographical position in the middle of three continents, is on the flight routes between 'developed markets' and 'emerging markets'. We are within 67 hours flight distance to 4 countries. This gives us an important geographical advantage. Taking these into account, we have become one of the fastest developing countries in the world with our air transportation policies and activities since 2003. As a result of the change we have initiated in our aviation sector, our country has become one of the leading countries in the world in this field in the last 20 years. Because we know very well that; Air transport is one of the most important dynamos of the win-win era. Air transport is the fastest, safest and most comfortable means of transportation necessary for the establishment of economic cooperation in the international arena and the development of our foreign trade activities. In this context, we made an investment of approximately 2003 billion liras for the development of our airline industry between 2022 and 125. We have completely equipped Turkey with new airports that meet the needs of the age. We modernized the existing airports from top to bottom. We have never forgotten that in this country, the nation is the master and the political power is the servant. We gave to the nation what we took from the nation. We have always kept the construction sites open and provided jobs and food to our nation.”

WE KILLED TURKISH AIRSPACE WITH INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES

Emphasizing that Turkey does not even have a minute to lose, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu made the following assessments:

“We have to work, produce, develop and raise the welfare of our nation even higher by realizing many other projects. For this reason, we implement our Transport and Infrastructure Policies with an understanding that will support the economic and political power of our country. We show our love for our homeland not with words, but with work, study and projects. When our Çukurova, Bayburt-Gümüşhane, Rize-Artvin and Yozgat Airports are completed, the number of active airports will increase to 61. We covered the Turkish airspace with international airline networks. We said, 'There will be no place in the world that we cannot reach,' and we have achieved this goal to a large extent. As a result of agreements and negotiations, we added 2003 new destinations to the 60 international destinations in 277. Despite the Covid-19 health crisis affecting the whole world, the rules we apply in the aviation industry have set an example to the whole world. Safe flight certificate, checks at the entrance to airports, social distance rules ensured the survival of our aviation industry. Thanks to the measures we have taken, the pandemic process has been successfully managed. Istanbul Airport and Turkish Airlines did not leave the first place in the ranking of the number of passengers and air traffic in European airports. Our airports have left the world's states behind. Turkish Airlines' achievements have made our nation proud.”

FLIGHT NETWORK REACHED 129 COUNTRIES IN 337 COUNTRIES

Stating that the flight network had reached 2022 destinations in 129 countries as of the end of February 337, Karaismailoğlu stated that together with Istanbul Airport, which is the largest and most important aviation investment, Turkey is one of the largest global transit centers in the world. Expressing that at the end of February this year, the total number of passengers increased by 76 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, to over 18 million, Karaismailoğlu said, “In the light of the data announced by the International Airports Council; Istanbul Airport became Europe's busiest airport in 36 with more than 2021 million passengers it hosted. If it were up to them, the foundation could not be laid. We threw! If it was up to them, it wasn't over. We're done! Up to them, no one would fly! Istanbul Airport is the European leader in terms of flights. Sabiha Gökçen, our other airport in Istanbul, became the 24th busiest airport in Europe with 991 million 6 thousand passengers, while our Antalya Airport ranked 21th with 333 million 9 thousand passengers and achieved great successes.

2 MILLION PASSENGER ANNUAL CAPACITY

Emphasizing that aviation is experiencing its golden age, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“We need to look at Tokat New Airport in the light of these achievements. The investment cost of our airport is 1 billion 200 million TL. We built a modern terminal building with an annual passenger capacity of 2 million and an aesthetic architecture of 16 square meters. We built a car park with a capacity of 200 vehicles at our airport. The runway length is 633 x 2 meters. In summary, we have built a fully-fledged modern airport in Tokat without any shortcomings. Undoubtedly, Tokat New Airport will make a great contribution to the development of the city and will carry the development mobilization even further.”

TOKAT AIRPORT INTERCHANGE AND CONNECTION ROAD WE WILL OPEN TOMORROW

Counties of our city; It will make great contributions to the socio-economic development of Almus, Artova, Başçiftlik, Erbaa, Niksar, Pazar, Reşadiye, Suluçay, Turhal, Yeşilyurt and Zile. Thanks to the power we derive from our nation, we will continue to strengthen Tokat's transportation and communication infrastructure. We are building together the beautiful days we dreamed of years ago for Tokat.”
