Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is bringing a project that will make the Darica Osmangazi Bridge, one of the nodal points of traffic in Darica, a breath-taking project for the region. In this context, Union of Marmara Municipalities and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın examined the 'Darıca Osmangazi Bridge Replication and Connection Road Construction Work', which was designed to reduce the load of the Darıca Osmangazi Bridge, and received information from the technical personnel about the works. Mayor Büyükakın noted that the traffic knot in the region will be resolved with the project, which will be an important alternative to the Darıca Osmangazi Bridge.

“SAFE, MORE COMFORTABLE”

Mayor Büyükakın, who made a statement after the examination accompanied by Darıca Mayor Muzaffer Bıyık, Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz, AK Party Gebze District President Recep Kaya, Deputy Secretary General Gökmen Mengüç and technical personnel, said, “The intersection of Aşiroğlu Street and Osmangazi Tunnel on the D-100 Highway. The connection road will be turned into a 2×2 road. In this context, the TCDD line will be crossed by a bridge at the Marmaray Osmangazi Train Station. With the additional 7-span bridge to be built, access from the D-100 highway to Aşiroğlu Street and the industrial areas in the region will be made safer and more comfortable.

“GET GOOD NOW”

Receiving the information that a 205.85 m long 7-span bridge and connecting roads with a length of 1.280 meters will be built within the scope of the project, Mayor Büyükakın said, “We have given the start to our project that will make the entrances and exits to the region safer. With the 7-span bridge and the connection roads to be built in its continuation, the traffic problem on the Darıca Osmangazi Bridge will be eliminated to a great extent. I wish good luck to our region in advance," he said.
