SMEs Realize Their Projects With ETİM

“ETİM – SME Project Partnership Workshop”, which was prepared for the realization of the projects of SMEs operating in the aviation, rail systems, machinery manufacturing, automotive and white goods sectors in Eskişehir, with the support of expert personnel and advanced technical infrastructure of ETİM, was held at Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone Directorate. .

The workshop held in Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone Conference Hall was attended by ATAP A.Ş. Chairman of the Board of Directors Metin Saraç, KOSGEB Eskişehir Provincial Director Tarık Yılmaz, ATAP A.Ş. General Manager Dr. Sedat Telçeken, Team Leader of the Project Dr. Kastytis Gečas, academicians and representatives of companies participating in the SME Capacity Building Program took place.

Our universities and industry should develop joint R&D projects

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, ATAP A.Ş. Metin Saraç, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said, “The contributions of the projects to be realized with the ETİM project in particular to our city and industry are very important. However, I would like to underline the sustainability of value-added projects. Joint R&D projects of our universities and industry should be developed for the consumable needs of the 3D metal printer, which is an important machine in the project and working within ETİM, and foreign dependency should be minimized here," he said.

We would like to thank ETİM for its contributions to SMEs.

KOSGEB Eskişehir Provincial Director Tarık Yılmaz thanked ETİM and said, “As KOSGEB, we would like to thank the ETİM project, which offers our SMEs access to such important high value-added new technologies. As the directorate, we will be pleased to support our SMEs at this stage," he said.

We are ready for engineering-design-prototyping needs of our SMEs

ATAP Inc. General Manager Dr. Sedat Telçeken stated that, as ETİM, they are ready to meet the needs of SMEs and said, “As you know, our project is the executive company of Eskişehir TGB ATAP A.Ş. has been carried out since 2020. On February 3, we started technical and non-technical trainings in 7 modules under 15 different headings to improve the capacities of our SMEs. These trainings will continue until 17 March. In addition, this meeting, where the selection of 5 pilot projects, which are an important indicator of our project, and the support of ETİM will be detailed, is very important for us. We, as ETİM, are ready with our experts and our machine park for the engineering-design-prototyping issues that our SMEs need regarding the projects”.

Information workshop is valuable for us

Project Team Leader Dr. Kastytis Gečas said, “I would like to thank you, our valuable SMEs, who have contributed to our project so far. This informative workshop for joint project development, which will be an important step in the cooperation they will develop together with our SMEs and ETİM in the next period, is valuable for us. We will be discussing the technical details and application processes together regarding the project call," he said.

After the speeches, ETİM Director Hakan Ünal made a presentation on the services and technical infrastructure of ETİM. In the workshop, the application process and details of the SME Support Program were introduced to SMEs.

At the end of the workshop, participation certificates were presented to the companies that participated in the SME Capacity Building Program, which started on February 3, 2022.
