Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer, 18 March Martyrs' Day and 107th anniversary of Çanakkale Victory hosted the representatives of martyrs and veterans associations in İzmir. Saying that one of his priority jobs is to protect the relatives of martyrs and veterans, President Soyer said, "This is also to protect the survival of the country."

We must pass on this feeling to future generations.
Stating that one of the priorities of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is to protect the relatives of martyrs and veterans, Soyer said:
“This also means protecting the survival of the country. We must protect this so that future generations do not lose their sense of protecting their homeland, nation, flag and history with this hope and belief. In this regard, we, as the local government, as the public, have a role to play. We want more support for you, we want to give you more support. We know we will do more. Together, we will understand each other and approach each other in good faith, and we will determine what the problems are and solve them. This is how we will proceed,” he said.
The representatives of the association also thanked President Soyer for his support.
