March 2022 results of the Hunger and Poverty Boundary Survey conducted by Türk-İş every month in order to reveal the living conditions of the employees and to determine the reflections of the price changes in basic necessities on the family budget have been announced. According to the study, this month's family of 4 hunger limit $ 4.928, poorment limit and it was calculated as 16.052 TL.

COST OF LIVING WAS 6 thousand 473 TL

The “cost of living” of a single employee was 6 thousand 473 liras per month. The minimum amount of food expenditure for a family of 4 living in Ankara increased by 8,24 percent compared to the previous month, while the rate of increase was 12 percent as of the last 76,39 months.

“According to the research, while milk and cheese prices followed an upward trend in March, a decline was observed in some yogurt brands. Veal, lamb, chicken and fish meat all increased in price. There was a 25 percent price increase in beef and 35 percent in lamb. The kilogram price of chicken rose up to 36 liras. In Ankara, 200 grams of white bread increased by 50 cents to 2,75 liras. The increase in pasta prices was calculated as 10 percent.

The average fruit-vegetable kilogram price was calculated as 10,42 lira. All of the butter, margarine and olive oil products were increased, and the highest price increase in oils was seen in sunflower oil with 40 percent. While no change was observed in olive prices, there was a decrease in honey prices. While the prices of jam and molasses increased, there was a 70 percent increase in sugar prices in the last month. The price of salt increased, while the price of linden did not change. The price of tomato paste remained the same. Tea prices started to follow an upward trend.
