Ankara Metropolitan Municipality organized a commemoration program at the Youth Park Grand Stage for the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre. In the program hosted by the Department of Women and Family Services, the historical process of the subject, the events that took place in the region in the recent past, and the cultural and social effects were explained by the academicians.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality commemorated the 26th anniversary of the Khojaly Massacre, which took place on February 1992, 30, with a program it organized.

Head of Women's and Family Services Department, Dr. Serkan Yorgancılar and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Gundogdu, Prof. Dr. Ozkul Cobanoglu and Prof. Dr. Ali Asker also attended as a speaker.

The cinevision show prepared in the commemoration program, which started with the playing of the National Anthem and the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, was also watched with interest.

Head of the Women and Family Services Department, Dr. Serkan Yorgancılar made the following assessments in his speech: “We came together on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the drama in the town of Hocalı in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. As the Turkish world, we are in favor of developing a common decision and implementing policies accordingly in order not to repeat this tragic event, which is our common pain, and to punish those responsible at the international level. We think that it is of vital importance for the transfer of this massacre to future generations and the creation of a national and historical consciousness. Understanding historical cases with all their reality is an extremely important element for our future.”

Academicians who shed light on the historical process by participating in the commemoration program, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Gundogdu, Prof. Dr. Ozkul Cobanoglu and Prof. Dr. Ali Asker gave detailed information about the cultural and social effects, especially the events that took place in the region recently.
