Afyonkarahisar Mayor Mehmet Zeybek met with the students of the Faculty of Engineering at the Afyon Kocatepe University (AKU) conference titled "Future Engineers Ask the City Managers".
President Zeybek, to a question about the cable car, said, “We had a cable car project, the tender for the castle was made before us. It was bought by an Italian partner company. They stated that they could start in April. Due to the economic crisis, friends withdrew from the tender by burning their guarantees. A new arrangement was made for the friends who prepared the project. Of course, our cable car tender from the location we call Hıdırlık to the top of the Castle. All kinds of permissions were obtained by the Board of Monuments. With a new arrangement, friends finished the project last month and calculated the approximate costs. We will also hold the tender for the cable car on April 16.” replied in the form.
