AK Party Eskişehir Local Administrations President Pınar Turhanoğlu emphasized that only five per thousand area will be used in Alpu in the URAYSİM Project, and criticized Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality.

Stating that everyone living in the city has the right to inquire about and follow up the investments and projects planned to be made in Eskişehir, Turhanoğlu used the following statements in his statement:

“When URAYSİM is completed, Turkey will be the first country in Europe to have a 400 km long test track, which can run at 52,93 km/h, where High Speed Train tests can be carried out. In addition, this project includes testing of conventional diesel and electric locomotives up to 180 km/h, 23 km long test track, metro vehicles up to 100 km/h and 80 km/h tram vehicles, 8 km and 3,2 By owning .XNUMX km of test tracks, it will be an important first in this field.

Those who say that rails will be laid on agricultural land. Have they looked back at how much green space they've put into development in the last few months? URAYSİM will receive only 0,5% (five per thousand) of the agricultural land of the project. While talking about this project, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality uttered the following sentences.

During the Tram purchase of the Metropolitan Municipality, the Canadian company BOMBARDIER, which is the best in the world in such technologies, and TÜLOMSAŞ, through partnerships or patents (At least, some parts of the trams are made by Tülomsaş, just as in patented locomotives, for Turkey to gain experience). The initiatives we made as the Municipality were blocked by the management at the head of TÜLOMSAŞ in the 2001-2002 period. (It would be very useful to document the story of this subject by making it a book later on.)

How many of these sentences are true? In 2011, as the AK Party parliamentary group, we supported the loan request requested from Iller Bank for additional trams. In order to develop the Eskişehir industry and to provide added value to the domestic industry, we requested that at least 30% local cooperation be made in tram purchases. This request was rejected by the CHP group.

We supported the purchase of 10 new trams. Our request for a local cooperation condition was rejected by the votes of CHP council members and Chairman Yılmaz Büyükerşen.

At that time, local manufacturers, especially Tulomsaş, were open to cooperation. You yourself rejected our proposal to impose a domestic contribution requirement for the trams that you put out for tender with non-standard rail spacing just to be able to buy from a certain foreign company.

Even if the domestic manufacturer does not take the tender. While it is not possible for him to buy it under special (!) conditions such as having made so much production and traveled so many kilometers after the given rail gaps, maybe some of the money of the city would stay in the city if at least the local cooperation condition was introduced.

It is very sad that those who openly prevented this at that time, and those who had a debate on this issue in the parliament, claim the opposite today.”
