Ekol Logistics continues to increase the number of intermodal lines in Europe. Ekol commissioned a new block train line between the cities of Sète in France and Cologne in Germany.

Ekol Turkey Country Manager Arzu Akyol Ekiz, who said that this line, which was put into service within the scope of its growth strategy in intermodal transportation, further consolidated its claim in Europe, said, “With the Sète-Köln line, which was implemented as a result of our cooperation with DFDS, one of the leading companies in Europe, significant gains for our customers. we will provide. Intermodal transport planning will no longer be monopolized only on Trieste, thanks to the line connecting our main hub in Southern Europe, Sète, to Cologne, the dynamic industrial metropolis in the heart of Europe. With the new Sèteline, we are providing alternative routes to Turkey's European connection.” he said.

Ekiz stated that the new train connection, which was established in line with the prediction of large throughput capacity in the Italian railway infrastructure and the expectation of an increase in the amount of freight on the Sète line, will almost complement Trieste.

Train; It departs from Sete on Mondays and Thursdays at 16.00 and reaches North Cologne at 19.00:09.00 on Tuesdays and Fridays. The train departs from Cologne at 11.00:XNUMX on Wednesdays and Saturdays for return flights and arrives in Sète at XNUMX:XNUMX on Thursdays and Sundays.

Technically different from its predecessors, the train, which is higher and larger, consists of 19 double-pocketed wagons. The train has the capacity to carry 38 trailers and containers.
