Zhang Wenyue, Vice President of Maglev Technology Research Institute of CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive company, stated that the train, which is designed to travel at 200 kilometers per hour, has also signed many technological innovations such as driving without a driver and contactless electricity feeding.
The new maglev train will be used between cities for distances of 50 to 200 kilometers. The train, which has features such as autonomous departure and millimeter wave 5G communication, is activated by a control system from the ground. Real-time data is collected for necessary repairs to ensure its safety.
According to the designer, the new model represents a remarkable improvement over previous generations in terms of pulling power, climbing capacity and acceleration performance.
