It is recommended to drink a glass of lactose-free milk, especially at sahur and iftar, to prevent digestive disorders that are frequently encountered with the change of routine diet during Ramadan.

Experts recommend drinking a glass of lactose-free milk to relieve digestive system discomfort caused by changes in the diet with the start of Ramadan.

Nuh Naci Yazgan University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nutrition and Dietetics Prof. Dr. Neriman İnanç points out that indigestion and constipation problems increase due to the change in the current eating pattern, especially during Ramadan. Suggesting to consume plenty of fluids to eliminate the problems in the digestive system, Prof. Inanc said, “The fact that fasting people cannot eat during the day and consume heavy foods at the time of iftar forces the digestive system. Difficulty in the digestive system also causes the discomfort known as constipation among the people. Therefore, it is very important to consume beverages that are effective in regulating bowel movements, such as lactose-free milk, during this period.
