The Ministry of National Education (MEB), science and art centers (BİLSEM), maturation institutes and vocational and technical Anatolian high schools continue to focus on patent, utility model, design and brand studies within the scope of intellectual property and industrial rights studies in all other secondary education institutions. .
MEB broke its own record by obtaining 2021 patents, utility models, designs and trademark registrations in 1.441. The target for 2022 was determined as 7 thousand 500 product registrations.
In 2022, applications were made for 127 product registrations, including 356 patents, 7.702 utility models, 46 designs and 8 brands, in a short period of two and a half months from all units. The design registration of 277 products has been approved so far.

Making an assessment on the subject, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said: “As the Ministry of National Education, we have taken a very important distance in 2021 in terms of vocational education, BİLSEM, maturation institutes and intellectual property in all types of high schools. In cooperation with our Presidency of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, we have completed trainings on intellectual property processes for our managers and teachers in 81 provinces. In addition, we have established an intellectual property office within the Ministry to ensure the coordination of the works carried out in 81 provinces and to provide the necessary support. In 2021, these efforts bore fruit and we received 1.441 patents, utility models, designs and trademark registrations. In 2022, we increased our registration target to 7. As a result of the hard work of our teachers and students in all our educational institutions and schools in 500, applications have been made for 2022 product registrations, including 127 patents, 356 utility models, 7.702 designs and 46 trademarks. At the end of the first evaluations, the design registration of 8 products was approved. Thus, we have reached 277% of our year-end target in the first 6 months of 869. Along with the evaluation processes of existing applications, new applications continue to be made. The point reached is very pleasing. Thus, the experience and culture formed in our secondary education institutions and our Ministry regarding intellectual property and industrial rights are constantly strengthened. These studies will be carried to a much better point in the future.
