1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Malkara-Çanakkale Highway, built by the partnership of DL E&C, Limak, SK ecoplant and Yapı Merkezi, with the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model under the administration of the TR Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Highways (KGM), on the 107th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory. It was put into service with a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Providing safe, fast and comfortable transportation; 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which will contribute to new investments, production and regional development, has the title of "the longest suspension bridge with a middle span in the world" with its middle span of 2023 meters and "the suspension bridge with the highest tower in the world" with its 334-meter peak. The 6 Çanakkale Bridge will provide a direct connection between Western Anatolia and European countries with other planned highways.

'15 thousand people from 30 countries worked'

Ebru Özdemir, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Limak Holding, one of the partners of the project, said, “We completed this project by working day and night with approximately 4 thousand people from 15 different countries during the 30-year record construction period and with our 6 thousand personnel at our construction sites during the most crowded period of our project. I believe that the 700 Çanakkale Project, in which more than 1915 Turkish engineers took part, will be an important reference for Turkish engineers and managers working in the field of bridge engineering and construction. We are also proud of the 49 female engineers who took part in our project.” said.

Stating that the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Motorway Project is an important project for the whole world with its engineering and financing features, Yapı Merkezi Chairman of the Board Başar Arıoğlu said, “This project attracts the attention of the whole world, from its financing to its contracting, from its engineering approach to its architectural features.

We invested more than 3 billion Euros for the project and we obtained loans from 10 banks and financial institutions from 25 different countries for its financing. With its financing structure, we have received 12 international awards so far. 1915 Çanakkale Bridge has been a project of pride and prestige for the project partners from the very first moment.
