Trumpet Model Interchange Works Continue in Kayseri

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that the works on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard-15 July Boulevard Multi-Storey Junction project, which is one of his investments in the field of transportation, continue uninterrupted, and that when the trumpet model project is completed, the transportation safety and comfort of another important region will be increased.

Paying special attention to the public transportation system in the city center and rural areas and the development of the transportation network throughout Kayseri, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Fever works are continuing in the project, which was started with the instructions of Memduh Büyükkılıç and will connect Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard, which is an important route for transportation to the Organized Industrial Zone, to 15 July Boulevard.

In his statement on the subject, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “Road, junction arrangement and displacement works are progressing in the project, which will be put into service with the trumpet intersection model carried out by our Metropolitan Municipality Department of Science Affairs teams. Within the scope of the work, the retaining walls were raised at the main intersection and on the other hand, the filling operations are continuing.”

Büyükkılıç stated that due to the ongoing works on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard, the traffic proceeds in a single lane in the direction of going from the Organized Industrial Zone to the city center.

Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “Our aim is to create a permanent, healthy transportation network that protects the backbone of our city and provides comfort in the best way possible.”

When the ongoing work on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard comes to an end, the boulevard, which is an important route for transportation to organized industry, will be connected to 15 July Boulevard. With this connection, a long road network from Organized Industrial Zone to Hacılar, Hisarcık road and Talas will be connected to each other, preventing the traffic density on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard and increasing transportation safety and comfort.
