The General Directorate of TCDD, affiliated to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, received the "Maintenance Organization (ECM) Competence Certificate", which certifies that the vehicles in the railway network operate at international standards.
Realizing its projects within the framework of the vision determined by the Ministry, TCDD has undertaken a study that will increase Turkey's brand value in the international arena and contribute to the development of domestic and national industry.
In this context, ECM Competency Certificate was given to TCDD by the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation, which indicates that vehicle maintenance is carried out in accordance with the International Union of Railways (UIC) and the Intergovernmental Organization for International Transport (OTIF).
With the ECM system, TCDD, which certifies that the vehicles working on the lines are maintained and operated safely, will perform the process that it previously performed with outsourced services, thus providing significant savings in terms of the use of public resources.
TCDD, which will determine the control of the vehicles to be put into operation or decommissioned in international standards, will thus allow all passenger and freight wagons to be in traffic freely both in the country and in the railway networks of European Union countries.
