UKOME; It has been decided that taxis using the Bosphorus bridges, the Eurasia Tunnel and the toll highway or entering the bus station will only charge the passenger in the outbound direction.
February UKOME (IMM Transportation Coordination Center) meeting was held at Yenikapı Kadir Topbaş Performance and Art Center under the chairmanship of IMM Deputy Secretary General Murat Yazıcı. At the meeting, IMM Public Transportation Services Directorate presented the "Proposal for Revising Taxi Transport Bridge Tolls".
In the offer, “In Taxi Transport journeys; “In case the passenger requests the use of toll areas such as the Bosphorus Bridges, Eurasia Tunnel, Toll Highway or Bus Station, the passenger who is in the taxi during the journey will be charged the taximeter fee, as well as the toll fee used at that moment. The return bridge fee, highway fee or tunnel fee, or any other additional fee cannot be demanded from the person who has completed his/her journey.
Murat Yazıcı, Deputy Secretary General of IMM, stated that the issue was discussed in the subcommittee and it was agreed, except for the Taxi Drivers' Chamber, and put the proposal to the vote. IMM's proposal was accepted with the votes of IMM bureaucrats and Ministry representatives.
