Service Exporters' Association (HIB) carried out its first overseas marketing activity in Dubai in order to improve exports of software and informatics sector. In the Dubai Trade Delegation organized within the scope of HİSER, which is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Commerce; Dubai Consul General Mustafa İlker Kılıç, Dubai Commercial Attaché Ersoy Erbay, Ministry of Commerce International Service Trade General Directorate Foreign Trade Specialist Ahmet Güneş and HİB Deputy Secretary General Abdullah Keskin and 7 companies and sector representatives participating in the HİSER Project.
Dubai, which has great potential in terms of software & IT sector, is also a base where exports can be made to different countries. For this reason, the delegation, which first held bilateral meetings in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, continues its efforts to develop the software and informatics sector, which has high added value and feeds the sub-sectors, and to increase its competitiveness.
Within the scope of the Project for Increasing the Competitiveness of the Software Information Sector Service Sector (HİSER), carried out by HİB with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, it is aimed to promote the software information services sector of our country in the best way and a sustainable increase in exports through bilateral relations to be established. 31 companies participating in the delegation held between 3 January - 2022 February 7 made company visits on the first day to learn about the culture of starting a business in Dubai. *Experience was transferred to the participants of the delegation by the representatives of Turkish companies at TTM during the visit to the Turkish Trade Center located in the World Trade Center. conducted more than one interview.
The software and information services sector, which draws attention with the efficiency and employment effect it creates, has a direct contribution to all sectors with the outputs and services it produces, and has an impact on the economy in general. It is predicted that the economic added value created by the sector will increase even more in the coming years, especially as the digital transformation, which has been postponed by many sectors, accelerates with the pandemic period. The sector, which reached an export volume of approximately 2019 billion dollars in 1,5, realized an export of 2020 billion dollars in 40 with an increase of more than 2 percent. It is stated that the sector will reach an export figure of 5 billion dollars in 10 years and will continue to contribute to many sectors.
