“Our doors are always open to sports and athletes”

Ozgur Soy, General Manager of Metro Istanbul, reminded that they always support active life, sports and athletes and said, “Metros are considered the lifebloods of Istanbul. For this reason, we are involved in every area that touches the lives of the people of this city. Sports is one of these areas. In the tournament, which was held for the second time this year at our Yenisahra metro station, we watched impressive images from our 9 athletes in the powerlifting area for 433 days. It is pleasing that the number of athletes, which was 300 last year, has increased to 433 this year, and the number of female athletes to 25 from 34. I congratulate all our athletes who competed in the tournament. We want this activity to continue in order to make our subways more lively. Metro areas are public areas, so our doors are always open to all sports branches and our athletes, as it is to everyone.”
