Yünsa, Europe's largest upper segment woolen fabric manufacturer, offers nature-friendly fabrics produced from the natural color of wool as part of its sustainability-focused product development. The fabrics that Yünsa produces with self-colored wool without using any dyestuff and synthetic chemicals promise a healthy and natural elegance.

Turkey's leading woolen fabric company, Yünsa, brought to its collections self-colored fabrics produced using the natural colors of wool, one of the oldest and most natural textile raw materials in the world. These fabrics, which are produced only from fibers with the natural wool color of the sheep from which they are obtained, instead of ecru or dyed wool fibers, offer an idyllic elegance with their natural color palette consisting of earth, coffee and tobacco tones.

Environmentally friendly and healthy

Woolen fabrics, which have the feature of keeping warm in winter and cool in summer thanks to their high insulation ability, can be used easily in spring and summer seasons. Yünsa General Manager Mustafa Sürmegöz, who gave information about the production process of self-colored wool fabrics, said, “One of the healthiest and most environmentally friendly textile products with its nature-soluble, balancing body temperature, breathable and moisture-absorbing structure, wool is woven by processing without using any dyestuffs. The finishing processes of the fabrics are carried out without the use of chemicals. In addition, natural antibacterials obtained from linseed are applied to fabrics that have been softened using natural herbal softeners and have a natural finishing feature. In the production process of fabrics, where no synthetic chemicals are used, no harmful waste is generated for the environment. In addition, since the dyeing process is eliminated, it also saves on water and energy use in production.

natural color palette

Emphasizing that the "return to nature" trend, which is dominant all over the world, also comes to the fore in the textile and ready-made clothing industry, Sürmegöz said, “This product group has a natural color palette that symbolizes the return to nature and the natural. In addition to dark and light brown tones, anthracite, earth tones, tobacco and beige tones, we can also obtain different color tones by mixing various wools. These products, especially produced as overcoat fabric, are also suitable for use as upholstery.
