In this context, the Intelligence Games Super League was organized in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of National Education. Games to be played in this league; reasoning, mental exercise, strategy and attention development, decision-making ability, communication, gentlemanly competition and competition aspects were chosen with a focus on ensuring the development of children and academic success. 17 thousand students from 104 primary and secondary schools from 10 districts of Bursa participate in the Intelligence Games Super League, which is organized with the slogan 'Game is a serious business'. 4 teachers will volunteer in the league where the games Caution180, Wecode, Aborolle, Reversi, Mangala, Mesopotamia and Quick Math will be played for three months. “They are deprived of the game”

The Intelligence Games Super League started with a ceremony attended by Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş and Provincial Director of National Education Serkan Gür at Merinos Atatürk Congress and Culture Center (Merinos AKKM). Speaking at the ceremony, President Aktaş noted that 'although they do not have a primary duty', when the subject is education, they mobilize all opportunities. Expressing that children spend a lot of time in the virtual world, especially in recent years, President Aktaş said, “Game is very important for the development of a child. Because games are not only a source of time for our children, but also a place to get to know the world they live in and experience what they learn. Play is also an action that supports their physical, mental, social and personal skills and meets their emotional needs. Our age is the age of technology, unfortunately, our children are developing fast, they are growing fast, but they are deprived of games. Therefore, intelligence games are one of the important issues that shape our children's perceptions and evaluations. I sincerely believe that the project will make great contributions to our children's self-knowledge and their skills, memory and attention development.”

“We didn't hear the 'no' sentence”

Reminding that today's children will have a say in tomorrow's Turkey, Provincial Director of National Education Serkan Gür said, “We continue to raise tomorrow's youth, not today, together with all our stakeholders. One of our biggest stakeholders here is the Metropolitan Municipality. They have been very interested in every request of the Provincial Directorate of National Education, without ever hearing the word 'no'. For this reason, I would like to express my gratitude to our President Alinur Aktaş and her team.”

After the speeches, President Aktaş and the Provincial Director of National Education Gür, who drew lots for the first welcome to be held, then had a reciprocal barbecue match.
