Great Interest in Local Seeds in Eskişehir and Turkey

Local seeds produced by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality with its own means continue to be distributed all over Turkey in district centers, Producer Markets and online application.

Local seeds, which are reproduced in Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Local Seed Production Center and sent to seed exchange festivals held in various cities of Turkey, especially in Eskişehir in recent years, support Turkey to prevent foreign dependency in agriculture. Citizens also show great interest in the local seeds brought together with the producers at the Producer Markets in the city center of Eskişehir and at the Seed Exchange Days held in the countryside.

Local seeds distributed in the districts of Seyitgazi, Sivrihisar, Han and Çifteler last week with the slogan 'Let your abundance multiply as you share, Eskişehir', this week Günyüzü on February 21, Beylikova on February 22, Mahmudiye on February 24, Sarıcakaya on February 25 and February 26. It will be distributed in Alpu.

Han Mayor Erdal Şanlı, who distributed local seeds to the citizens together with the staff of the Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Department during the seed exchange days held in the Han district, said, “Unlike hybrid seeds, we distribute local seeds to our citizens for continuous production. The people of the district also showed great interest in this event. I would like to thank our Metropolitan Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen for delivering our local seeds to our people free of charge, while the seed prices are so high.”
