'As Aliağa Chamber of Commerce, we attach great importance to vocational training'

Making the opening speech of the training program, Aliağa Chamber of Commerce President Ömer Ertürk said, “I would like to thank all the stakeholders of the project. We are very happy to have realized the beginning of the project that we have been waiting for a long time with excitement. As trainees, we find it very valuable that you participate in this project by embracing the advantage of obtaining a profession and having a certified profession. As Aliağa Chamber of Commerce, we attach great importance to vocational education. Because we want to provide the benefit of both training human resources with the qualifications and equipment to meet the needs of the industry, and employing our existing human resources by training them in the areas needed. Thus, we will continue to work for the elimination of the problem on both sides. All we want is for our citizens to participate in the project and for the people we train to be employed in the factories in the region. I wish the project, which is very important in terms of both employment and training qualified personnel, to be auspicious.”

'The most important actor of the qualified workforce is vocational education'

Aliağa Chamber of Commerce Assembly President Adnan Saka congratulated the trainees for taking advantage of this training and certification opportunity and continued his speech as follows:

“Qualified workforce is of great importance in order to quickly adapt to the developing and changing world conditions. The most important actor of the qualified workforce is vocational education. We, as the Chamber, have been working for the development of vocational education in our district since the past. One of the most fundamental problems of the industrial sector, which is the backbone of our district, is the shortage of qualified intermediate personnel. Some of our citizens are also having a hard time finding a job. Especially in Aliağa and the industrial establishments in our region, they provide employment opportunities for qualified personnel who have received vocational training. We believe that the project we started will bring benefits to both parties. I wish the project to be beneficial to everyone and thank everyone who contributed.”

The training period will be 5 hours in total over 40 days.

Primary, secondary, high school and university graduates will be able to apply and the training period will be 8 hours a day, for 5 days, a total of 40 hours. Candidates who successfully complete the training will then enter the professional qualification exam in the field of machine maintenance and, if they are successful in the exam, will be entitled to receive the certificate without paying any fee. Citizens who want to participate in the project, which covers the vocational training and certification process, will be able to contact the Aliağa Chamber of Commerce for application and details.
