Eren Kış-22 Martyr Gendarmerie Private Fedai Efe Operation Started

The Ministry of Interior announced that Operation Eren Kış-22 Martyr Gendarmerie Private Fedai Efe was launched in Diyarbakır. According to the ministry statement,

Eren Kış-22 Martyr Gendarmerie Er Fedai Efe Operation was launched in Diyarbakır in order to neutralize the terrorists sheltering in the region with the Search-Find-Destroy tactic, to nullify the preparations for action and to reinforce the peace and security environment in the region.

In operation; (1280) personnel [(82) operational team] consisting of Gendarmerie Commando, Gendarmerie Special Operations (JÖH), Police Special Operations (PÖH) and Security Guard teams are taking charge.

In addition, within the scope of the Eren Kış-22 operation, on-site inspections and examinations were carried out by the Gendarmerie General Commander, General Arif Çetin, and the commandos were morale boosted. Under the coordination of the Ministry of Interior; Within the scope of Eren Winter operations, which started on 07 November 2021, a total of; 20 terrorists (19 dead, 1 alive) were neutralized, 350 bunkers/warehouses/shelters were destroyed.

114 guns, 2 14,7 mm anti-aircraft guns, 14 missiles, 6 rocket launchers, 1 mortar, 2 grenade launchers, 6 machine guns, 66 long-barreled guns, 3 sniper rifles, 3 lava, 8 pistols, 3 shotguns], 172 units. hand grenades, 60 mines/eyps, 366 detonators, 520 cylinders, 1.665 kg of explosives, 28 binoculars, 27 radios, 23.54 ammunition, and a large amount of food and life supplies were seized.
