The Duathlon İzmir Turkey Championship, organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, has started. In the two-day event, 465 athletes will run and cycle for the medal.
Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerThe Duathlon İzmir Turkey Championship, organized with the aim of making İzmir the center of sports organizations, started in İnciraltı. In the championship, which will last for two days on the tracks in İnciraltı Urban Forest, 465 athletes will both run and cycle for the medal.
DuathlonIzmir, which will take place in the form of running-bike-running, is held in elite, youth, star, mini 3 (M3), paralympic and age groups categories. Elites and youth will complete the course with 5 km running, 20 km cycling and 2,5 km running. Stars will compete in 3,4 km running, 12 km cycling, 1.7 km running, tiny 3 (M3) 2.7 km running, 8 km cycling and 1,3 km running. In age groups, the finish will be reached by running 10 kilometers, cycling 40 kilometers and running 5 kilometers.
