INFORMATION POLLUTION IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IN DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, said, “One of the biggest problems in digital environments today is undoubtedly 'information pollution' and the centers trying to gain power by feeding on this pollution. The false and misleading information that exists in every period has increased with the widespread use of social media channels and has descended like a black cloud over the freedom of information of our citizens. In digital environments where lies and truth are intertwined, conscious use of the internet and social media channels and acquiring digital literacy skills are among the top things to be done in order to reach the right information and detect false information. At this point, it is essential to choose reliable news sources, not to rely on unsourced content, to use the internet consciously, and to fight against lies and information pollution.
