Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay made statements about the Climate Council to be held in Konya by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. Stating that Konya will host a very important council, Mayor Altay said, “The Climate Council will start in our city on Monday. The results that will emerge from this will create an important perspective for both our Konya and our country.” said.

The Climate Council organized by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change will be held in Konya between 21-25 February 2022.

Noting that at the Climate Council, consultations will be held on the negative effects of climate change on cities and countries and how to combat it, President Altay said, “Konya will host a very important meeting. Important issues on climate change not only for Konya, but for the whole of Turkey; It will be discussed by 650 scientists, environmental organizations and institutions and a final declaration will be produced.” he said.
