In this context, a fully electric Audi-models production facility will be built in China under the name Premium Platform Electric (PPE).

CEO Markus Duesmann said that Audi FAW NEV Company plays a key role in Audi's strategy to move towards electric vehicles in China and they are willing to move in that direction. Audi's Head of China Division, Jürgen Unser, said that together with Audi FAW NEV Company, they will bring new breakthroughs to the existing e-vehicle industry in China.

Audi joint venture and partner FAW will be ready to build the new factory in Changchun immediately after intensive preparations over the past months and obtaining the necessary permits from the Chinese authorities. 150 thousand carbon neutral electric vehicles will be produced annually at the facility.

By the end of 2024, a very modern factory building will be built in Changchun, which will produce fully electric Audi models on an area of ​​​​150 hectares. Efficiency and sustainability will be at the forefront in the factory, which will operate with fully digitalized methods. The factory in Changchun will be the first production facility to launch purely electric Audi-models.
