Ankara Metropolitan Sports Clubs Run From Success to Success

Sports clubs within the body of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which continues to support sports and athletes in the capital, cannot get enough of success. '07. Participating in the International Turkey Open Taekwondo Championship, Metropolitan Municipality Ankaraspor became the sports club that won the most medals in the tournament with 13 medals. While Ankaraspor scored an important point for the 2022 Paris Olympics with the medals it received, it also returned from the WUSHU Turkey Championship with 49 medals.

Continuing to support sports and athletes in the capital city, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to support all branches of sports.

Continuing their activities within the Metropolitan Municipality, ABB EGO Spor, ASKİ Spor and Ankaraspor started to make their names known to the world by breaking success records in national and international competitions.

HISTORICAL SUCCESS FROM ABB ANKARASPOR

Ankaraspor, the Metropolitan Municipality, participated in the 07th International Turkey Open Taekwondo Championship, which was held in Antalya between 13-2022 February 49, in which approximately 500 athletes from 2024 countries participated and earned points for the 9 Paris Olympics.

Ankaraspor, the sports club that won the most medals with 16 medals in the tournament, achieved a historic success before the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Metropolitan Municipality Ankaraspor Club athletes;

  • Elifsu Özpayı, Bilge Nur Karakurt, Emre Talha Evin, Murat Semih Uzun and Sıla Irmak Uzuncavdar gold medals,
  • İbrahim Öter, Bogachan Ceylan, Rüveydanur Evin silver medal,
  • Elif Aktepe, Melisa Karakuş, Atilla Yurdakul, Büşra Öztürk, Berat Can Demir, Zehra Gürbüz, Ahmet Arif Gül and Yunuscan Akkayun also won bronze medals.

28 MEDALS AT WUSHU TURKEY CHAMPIONSHIP

Running from success to success with its results, Ankaraspor Club also participated in the 'WUSHU Turkey Championship' held in Antalya on 05-16 February 2022 with 38 athletes.

Metropolitan Municipality Ankaraspor Club athletes won 28 medals in the tournament, giving capital Ankara double joy.
