Works on Kuruçeşme Tram Line Continue at Full Speed

Within the scope of Kuruçeşme Tram Line Project, the existing Akçaray Tram Line will be connected to Kuruçeşme by passing from Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of the D-100 upon completion of the works. The legs of the tram overpass bridge, which is 290 meters long, with 9 legs and 8 spans, which will provide the tramway, are rising. The works, which slowed down with bad weather conditions, accelerated with the sun showing its face. Infrastructure works, reinforced concrete works of the bridges, columns and beams, D-100 station pocket productions continue in Kuruçeşme tram line works.

COLUMN AND FOUNDATION MANUFACTURING IS DONE

The production of 100 bored piles for the piers of the 290-meter-long bridge that will connect the Akçaray Tram Line to Kuruçeşme via the D-130 was completed at the beginning of January. Work accelerated as the weather conditions improved. The production of columns, foundations and head beams continues in the works carried out by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality teams for the construction of the bridge piers. In the project, where the feet started to emerge with the works carried out, the D-100 bus stop pocket manufacturing continues along with the infrastructure works.

TRAM LINE WILL REACH 23,4 KILOMETERS

With the completion of the Kuruçeşme tram line, the length of the Akçaray tram line will reach a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters. The single-line length of the tram will reach 3 kilometers, with a 23,4-kilometer single-line warehouse area. The number of stops will increase to 100 with the ongoing D-16 station mobile productions and Kuruçeşme station. With the project, which will add convenience and value to the lives of citizens, access to Izmit center, Sekapark and Izmit Bus Station will be easier.
