Studies on the "National Rail Systems Research and Test Center" (URAYSİM) project, which will make Turkey one of the world's leading centers in the field of rail systems, announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan from Eskişehir, continue under the leadership of Anadolu University. Rector Erdal, who stated that URAYSİM is a project that will bring a new era to Eskişehir and our country, said, “Today, we received detailed information from the members of the AYGM Indigenization Commission about our institutions and companies operating in the field of rail systems in our country. URAYSİM is Turkey's national project, and we want to maximize the rate of locality at every stage of the project," he said. URAYSİM, which is included in the Presidency Investment Program, has the feature of being the most important project that has been implemented recently in terms of railway transportation in our country. The studies carried out for the realization of the URAYSİM Project, which is aimed to lead the rail system sector with the development of high technological infrastructure, are under the responsibility of Anadolu University and Eskişehir Technical University, Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK), Turkish Republic State Railways (TCDD) and Turkish Rail System Vehicles Industry.
