Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said that the feverish work continues on the Martyr Furkan Doğan-Talas Anayurt rail system line, which is being built by the Metropolitan Municipality, and the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent rail system line, which is carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
While many projects of Mayor Büyükkılıç that will make Kayseri's transportation system modern, comfortable and safe have been implemented one by one, great progress has been made in the feverish work carried out on the tram lines that will expand the rail system network and provide alternative transportation opportunities to the important points of the city.
Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that the work on the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent tram line, the foundation of which was laid on November 21, 2020, continues feverishly, and said, “The catenary pole used in the electrification lines of rail systems was installed on the tram line. An important part of the project, which is 7 kilometers long and consists of 11 stations, was installed on the catenary pole. On the other hand, on the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent tram line, the production of bored piles, which is formed by placing iron reinforcement in the well opened by drilling with a circular cross section of a certain diameter and depth, continues. In addition to the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent rail system line works carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Metropolitan Municipality is also working non-stop on the Martyr Furkan Doğan-Talas Anayurt rail system line.
President Büyükkılıç stated that the works on the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent and Martyr Furkan Doğan-Talas Anayurt rail system line continue uninterruptedly, and said:
“When both of the ongoing projects start to serve, we will provide an alternative, fast, safe and comfortable transportation opportunity to the important points of our city. Of course, we have implemented our multi-storey intersection projects as well as rail system projects. We will continue to work with all our strength so that our city can reach a better point by leveling up at the transportation point. We can almost say that we weave the city with iron nets with our rail system lines. Everything is to provide a comfortable transportation opportunity to our citizens. Everything is for our Kayseri.”
