The projects containing the route and station layout plans for the Dikimevi-Natoyolu Light Rail System Project, which is among the election promises of Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, were submitted to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments with an official letter. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is implementing many more projects in transportation besides bridged intersections, bicycle paths and newly purchased buses.

In this context, the projects containing the route and station layout plans for the Dikimevi-Natoyolu Light Rail System Project, which is aimed to be started, were submitted to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments for opinion.

Addressing the people of the Capital with the words "We are bringing Ankara together with the metro after many years" in his social media accounts, Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş shared the following information about the metro project:

“As of today, we have completed our Dikimevi-Natoyolu metro project that will connect Mamak to ANKARAY between AŞTİ-Dikimevi and presented it to the Ministry of Transport. After approval, Mr. With the President's inclusion in the investment program, we will go out to tender for the construction."

Following the approval of the projects of the metro line, which will be built entirely underground, by the Ministry, an investment application will be made from the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to the Presidency of Strategy and Budget for the project. Immediately after the approval of the investment application, the construction tender will be launched.

PLANNED TO CONSIST OF 8 SEPARATE STATIONS

The length of Dikimevi-Natoyolu line, which will be integrated into the ANKARAY line running between Ankara Intercity Terminal Operation (AŞTİ) and Dikimevi, will be 7,4 kilometers.

The line will consist of 8 different stations with the names Abidinpaşa, Aşık Veysel, Tuzluçayır, General Zeki Doğan, Fahri Korutürk, Cengizhan, Akşemsettin and Natoyolu. It is estimated that 2026 passengers will travel in one direction during the peak hours of 10.874, and 2050 passengers will use the rail system per day for 691,528.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its last works before the tender for the project for the Kızılay-Dikmen Metro Line.
