“Klondike”, a co-production of Ukraine State Film Agency, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema and TRT 12 Punto, focuses on the story of a pregnant woman living on the Ukraine-Russia border who refuses to leave her home despite her village being surrounded by separatist groups. It also brings the downing of the passenger plane on 17 July 2014 in Ukraine to the big screen.

The Ukrainian-Turkish co-production “Klondike” made its world premiere in the main competition section of the online Sundance Film Festival on January 20-30, and won the “Best Director” award.
