Selcuk Sarbalkan, an artist from Izmir, who led a life intertwined with sports and music from a young age, said that he will meet his fans again with his song called "I Draw My Way".
Stating that he has been working on lyrics for years and reaching hundreds of thousands with his singles, Şarbalkan said, "I've released my song "I Draw My Way" on digital platforms and on February 23. We are planning to shoot his music video at the end of March. I was separated from my loved ones for a long time due to the pandemic. After the single came out, I want to give concerts in different parts of our country, starting from Izmir, starting from the first week of March.”
MUSIC IS PART OF MY LIFE
Noting that he has been both a licensed football player and a musician since his childhood, Şarbalkan said, “There was always music in our house. My mother played the oud and mandolin very well and my father played percussion. There would be no missing chapters, songs and folk songs at home. I grew up in this environment too. I also had a special interest and talent for football. Karşıyaka I grew up in the infrastructure of the Sports Club. I worked as a striker for many years in Izmir's well-known football clubs. On the other hand, music has always been with me as a part of my life. The guitar would never fall out of my hands. I have been writing my own lyrics and compositions since my high school years. In 2008, I decided to end my football life. I was a person known in the sports community as a musician. I even won the conservatory, but I did not continue. Then I composed my own songs, 3 tracks called Indispensable, Dirilsiz Aşkım and Farewell. YouTubeI uploaded it and went to the military. I did my military service in Istanbul. After a while, the singer Baha, who was very popular at that time, reached me. He told me that he was listening to my songs and wanted to buy the song 'I'm indispensable'. At that moment, I realized that I was on the right track.”

People also uploaded their own songs that they sang everywhere. In fact, Sefa Doğanay, who was famous for her imitations at that time, sang my song Hülya Avşar at the show. After that, the military service ended. I had my own fan group. In the next period, Rafet el Roman found me. I went to concerts with him and continued in different projects. It continued like this until 2018. Then I focused on my music career in Izmir. I also worked with Aslı Zen. I had the opportunity to reach more crowded people in larger venues. Noting that he has 40 50 compositions whose lyrics and music belong to him and that he wants to meet more people, Selçuk Şarbalkan said, “People got to know me mostly through slow songs. I actually have live songs as well. My aim is to come to good places like Berkay and Murat Dalkılıç who came out of İzmir. We also have an orchestra, including our conductor Ergün Sesligil. It consists of professional musicians from Izmir. We continue our efforts to come together with music lovers.”
