The award-winning photography exhibition of the Turkish Mountaineering Federation, with the theme of mountaineering, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, was opened at Kültürpark İzmir Art Gallery.
In order to promote and increase the visibility of mountaineering, the exhibition, which includes the photos that won the first place in the International Mountaineering Themed Photography Contest, held for the first time in 2020, was opened to visitors at Kültürpark İzmir Art Gallery. The exhibition, which will be open between 09.00-17.30 on weekdays and 10.00-16.00 on weekends, can be visited free of charge until 28 February.
A total of 33 works are on display, together with the three winning works. The exhibition was previously opened to visitors in Bursa, Eskişehir and Balıkesir.
In the competition, 159 photographs taken by 608 participants from Turkey and abroad were evaluated. Bahtiyar Koç from Kocaeli won the first prize, Şevki Karaca from Bursa, and Ender Gürel from Balıkesir took the third place.
