Havaş, Turkey's most established brand in ground handling services, acquired MZLZ Ground Handling Services company operating at Zagreb Airport. Zagreb became the 31st airport in Havaş's portfolio.

Havaş, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, started to serve in Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. Operating at 29 airports in Turkey, Havaş added Zagreb Airport to its portfolio after Riga, Latvia.

Havaş took over passenger, ramp, representation and surveillance, flight operation, load control and communication services as well as cargo and postal services at Zagreb Airport.

Havaş General Manager S. Mete Erna said, “We focus on constantly improving our operations with innovative solutions and providing the best service to our airline collaborations. As a member of the Turquality program, we evaluate opportunities to grow abroad with the knowledge we have gained in Turkey. Nearly 30 airlines regularly fly to Zagreb Airport, which is an important tourism destination in the Adriatic. As a ground handling service provider at the airport, which also has cargo and general aviation traffic, we will carry out all processes. We will continue to be the preferred business partner of airlines by increasing the efficiency of our operations and continuing our ground services investments.” said.

Havaş will provide service in Zagreb with approximately 500 employees and a machine park consisting of 176 motorized and 346 wheeled equipment. The Zagreb station has the ISAGO certification of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Zagreb Airport served 2019 million 3 thousand passengers, 435 thousand 45 flights and approximately 61 thousand tons of cargo in 13. Due to the travel restrictions imposed due to the pandemic, the airport's passenger traffic in 2021 stood at 2019 percent of 41.

The consortium of TAV Airports has the right to operate Zagreb Airport until 2042.
