LIFE STYLE AND TEACHINGS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL

In the panel moderated by Seyfettin Aslan, Head of Health Affairs, Researcher-Author Abdülkerim Erdoğan and Hacı Bayram-ı Veli University faculty members Prof. Dr. Fatma Ahsen Turan explained the lifestyle, life and biography of Hacı Bayram-ı Veli in detail.

Emphasizing that it is important to get to know Hacı Bayram-ı Veli and understand his teachings, Metropolitan Municipality Health Affairs Department Head Seyfettin Aslan made the following evaluations:

“In all the books about Hacı Bayram-ı Veli, vetch soup is mentioned. At that time, 'burçak soup' was boiled in Hacı Bayram-ı Veli convent. But this beautiful tradition was lost in time. As Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, we want to bring the vetch soup to the agenda again and add it to our lives. This year we will produce spikes and turn them into soup. We think that the panel was really beneficial in terms of promoting Hacı Bayram-ı Veli.”

SPIRITUAL VALUES ARE AIM TO BE A ROLE MODEL FOR YOUTH

Pointing out that many values such as Hacı Bayram-ı Veli have an important role in creating social memory, Prof. Dr. Fatma Ahsen Turan said:

“It is an important issue in terms of creating social memory. In particular, there are some magnificent personalities who give their identity to cities. Explaining the place, philosophy, and actions of these personalities in history together with the people's recognition of them creates a social memory. Hacı Bayram-ı Veli is an evolved personality. It is extremely important to see the truth in his lifestyle, since he is a person who lives his stories and principles. Our aim is to introduce spiritual values with all their features in every field. It is also very important in terms of being a role model for our youth and society. It is extremely important to introduce it not only as a symbol of Ankara, but also as an educator, a role model, as well as promoting a personality spiritually.”

The people of Başkent, who participated in the panel organized to get to know and understand Haci Bayram-ı Veli, also known as Harvests and San'atlar Veli, expressed their thoughts with the following words:

Ozgur Aydogmus: “I am studying at Hacettepe University. Hacı Bayram-ı Veli is a great value. We knew him before, but now we have the opportunity to get to know him more closely. Who is Hacı Bayram-ı Veli in a deep sense? What kind of scientist is he? we got it. It is also valuable for us that the Metropolitan Municipality embraces these values.”

Aynur Lara Duman: “This panel has been very informative for us. Indeed, as it was said, I realized that we were not very knowledgeable about Hacı Bayram-ı Veli about Ankara, that we had only received information from hearsay. It would be very good for us to take care of spiritual personalities.”
