Work continues on the Denizli Ring Road, which will connect Denizli to the centers of tourism. The second phase of the Denizli Ring Road Project is aimed to be completed and opened to traffic in 2. With the completion of the second part of the project, a total annual savings of 2022 million TL will be achieved.

In the statement made by the General Directorate of Highways of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was stated that the work on the Denizli Ring Road project, which will connect Denizli to Antalya, İzmir, Aydın and Muğla, continues. The statement, which draws attention to the fact that there is a traffic density in Denizli City Center with the increasing traffic load especially in the summer months, continued as follows:

“The 32-kilometer Denizli Ring Road was designed in order to reduce the traffic density by taking the transit traffic out of the city, to shorten the driving time, to save fuel and to provide comfortable transportation. The 18st section of the 1-kilometer-long Denizli Ring Road, which starts at the Kumkısık Junction in the İzmir-Aydin direction, connects to the Denizli-Çardak Junction and ends at the Kale Junction, has been completed and opened to traffic. The second part of the Ring Road, 14 kilometers long, will connect the traffic coming from Ankara–Afyon–Uşak direction and the 2st Section Ring Road to Antalya and Muğla. The second phase of the Denizli Ring Road Project is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 1.”

283,4 MILLION TL SAVINGS WILL BE SAVED A YEAR

In the statement, which recorded that the average daily vehicle traffic in the city crossing reached 30 thousand, it was emphasized that the travel time of those coming from Izmir-Aydin, Istanbul-Akhisar-Buldan direction would decrease from 28 minutes to 18 minutes. It was underlined that the road of those traveling from Afyon-Uşak to Antalya and Çardak will decrease from 28 kilometers to 14 kilometers, while the travel time will decrease from 28 minutes to 9 minutes. In the statement, “With the completion of the 2nd part of Denizli Ring Road and opening to traffic, a total of 154,9 Million TL will be saved annually, 128,5 Million TL from time and 283,4 Million TL from fuel oil. Carbon emissions will decrease by 26.428 tons annually.
