Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced that 110 thousand people travel in a month on the Karaman-Istanbul, Karaman-Ankara YHT track. Karaismailoğlu noted that 174 thousand passengers were transported on the 47 YHT expedition between Konya and Karaman.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made a statement about the Karaman YHT line, which was opened with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on January 8. Expressing that the Konya-Karaman high-speed railway line has been added to the YHT lines operated by the General Directorate, Karaismailoğlu noted that the comfortable, comfortable and fast high-speed railway operation has started to reach more cities.

Pointing out that there are a total of 6 flights a day between Ankara-Karaman and Istanbul-Karaman on the Konya-Karaman high-speed railway line, Karaismailoğlu reminded that Karaman YHT services were provided free of charge during the first week (9 -15 January) when they were put into service. Explaining that 110 thousand passengers have traveled on the Karaman-Ankara, Karaman-Istanbul route since the day the line was opened, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “With Karaman YHT, which is the 8th province to have YHT service, on the Ankara-Konya-Karaman route, a total of 2 thousand 317 passengers per day. 67 thousand 184 people were transported, and a total of 432 thousand 41 people were transported on the Istanbul - Konya - Karaman route, with an average of 522 passengers per day. Between Konya and Karaman, 174 thousand passengers were transported on 47 YHT flights in a month.”

TRAVEL TIME DECREASED TO 40 MINUTES

Underlining that the travel time between Konya and Karaman has decreased to 40 minutes on average, and the travel time between Ankara-Konya-Karaman has decreased to 2 hours and 40 minutes, Karaismailoğlu made the following assessments:

“While the travel time between Istanbul and Karaman was 6 hours, the TCDD Transportation General Directorate significantly reduced the travel time to cities close to Karaman with YHT + bus connected combined transportation. Accordingly, passengers arriving in Karaman with YHT started to reach Adana and Mersin in a shorter time by transferring to buses from here. On the other hand, some of the YHT services operating between Ankara-Konya and Istanbul-Konya were combined with regional trains operating between Konya-Karaman in order to offer more options to passengers. In addition, additional flights were organized to meet the increasing passenger demand due to the disruption of road and air transport due to heavy winter conditions and the start of the semester break. Between January 21 and February 6, a total capacity increase of 9 people was achieved. Ankara-Istanbul, Ankara-Eskişehir, Ankara-Konya, Konya-Istanbul, Karaman-Ankara, Karaman-Istanbul YHT and HT lines served a total of 700 thousand 1 people, an average of 6 thousand 21 people per day, between January 547 and February 797.”

4 TIMES ON KARAMAN-KONYA-ANKARA LINE

High-speed trains Karaismailoğlu stated that they provide service with a total of 4 flights on the Karaman-Konya-Ankara line; He stated that there are 5 intermediate stations, namely Eryaman, Polatlı, Selçuklu, Konya and Çumra. Noting that there are 2 flights on the Karaman-Konya-Eskişehir-Istanbul line, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu stated that there are Bostancı, Pendik, Gebze, Izmit, Arifiye, Bilecik, Bozüyük, Eskişehir, Selçuklu, Konya and Çumra intermediate stations on this line.

SPEED AND CAPACITY INCREASED IN LOAD TRANSPORTATION

Karaismailoğlu said, "On the other hand, with the 102-kilometer Konya-Karaman high-speed train line, not only passenger transport, but also freight transport, speed and capacity have been increased," said Karaismailoğlu, and underlined that freight trains have started to operate on the line, the capacity of which has been increased to 60 double trains. Karaismailoğlu concluded his words by saying, "The extension of the Konya-Karaman high-speed railway line to Ulukışla-Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep continues."
