TUSAŞ completed the modernization of 2021 more aircraft in 3 within the scope of the Erciyes Project and delivered them to the Air Force Command.

Within the scope of the Avionic Modernization-ERCIYES Project of C-130E/B aircraft carried out by the Presidency of Defense Industry of the Republic of Turkey, 3 more C130 aircraft, which were modernized in accordance with international flight needs, were delivered to HvKK in 2021.

Within the scope of the C-2006E/B Avionic Modernization (Erciyes) Agreement signed between SSM (today SSB) and Turkish Aerospace Industries in December 130, Avionic Modernization of 13 C-130E and 6 C-130B transport aircraft in the Turkish Air Force inventory will be carried out. .

Within the scope of the Erciyes Modernization Project, the modernization activities of a total of 130 systems and 23 components continue to be carried out with the central control computer of the C117 aircraft, developed entirely by TAI engineers and called the brain of the aircraft. In the Erciyes C19 modernization project, which includes 130 aircraft in total, the modernization of 8 aircraft was completed in February 2021.

TAI, which has been redesigned by the central control computer engineers of Erciyes C130 aircraft and assembled them on airplanes, also has GPS, indicator, anti-collision system, air radar, advanced military and civilian navigation systems, nighttime invisible lighting for military missions, sound recording black box. carries out the modernization of critical components such as communication systems, advanced automatic flight systems (military and civilian), capability to operate in the military network, digital floating map and ground mission planning systems. In this way, the modernization, which also facilitates the mission capabilities of C130 aircraft, reduces the pilot's workload, as well as ensuring safe flight with automatic route tracking from take-off to landing.

With the modernization, C130 aircraft, in which situational awareness has increased, has been given the ability to land in airports precisely and safely. Aircraft, in which the latest technology has been integrated, attained execution capability as well as digital military / civil planning. Compliance with civil aviation rules was achieved to save time and fuel. The first prototype aircraft was delivered in 2007 within the scope of the Erciyes C130 Project signed in 2014. The project, in which 19 aircraft will be modernized, is meticulously carried out by TAI engineers.
